Cancer and now divorce? Amanda, a genuinely happy and hard working woman who maintains a positive outlook on life, had recently been diagnosed with cancer. Chemo treatments had begun and she was managing to continue working, when she shared of her divorce and the impact it was having on her life. On top of everything Amanda was going through, she had managed to complete her nursing degree and was preparing to take her licensure exam. That’s when she learned her school loan had been canceled due to the divorce. Without the final school payment she would be unable to take her licensure exam.

Rooted leadership met and determined the best way to support would be in paying the remainder of the school bill. Supporting Amanda through her education would enable a lasting transformation and a positive impact on her journey. Following the school payment, Amanda successfully became a Registered Nurse and secured a job that she plans to start soon!

Rooted is still walking with Amanda on her journey. As she continues her cancer treatments, she is leaning on God as she plans her future.
